Ms. Virginia Elliott is the Public Affairs Counselor at the Embassy of the United States of America. On Day 2 of Fab Youth Camp, Ms. Elliott delivered this short and powerful keynote speech to the campers during the Career Mentoring Session.
Fab Youth Camp is a training and mentoring programme for junior and senior high graduates. It was piloted this year (2022) in Aboabo Kesse, where Fab Hub Ashanti is located.
Other camp activities include soft skills training on Core Life, Leadership, Employability and Entrepreneurship training for 100 campers in Week 1. The campers pitched for an opportunity to earn one of the 60 Computer Skills Training spots. The topics include Introduction to Microsoft Office, Graphic Designing, Video Editing and Phone/Tablet/Computer Fixing training.
